Why is Twistor Different?
"Twistor: Definition. An object that locates a network of possible causal relationships between space-time events. A Twistor will show cause and effect."
Twistor is the world's first ethical search engine. The sites in our index have all been checked according to a set of criteria before being added. You can find these criteria via a link from the front page or by clicking HERE
Our aim is to build the biggest index of sites operating to ethical standards in existence. We want users to feel confident that when they access a site showing the Twistor logo, they are dealing with people who are trying to do the right thing.
Why Now?
The call for ethical practice has become irresistible; cause and effect has never been more sharply focussed, particularly in relation to the environment. Twistor allows people to locate sites that have passed a set of ethical criteria. All sites returned from the Twistor index exhibit the
logo. This shows that they have been examined by Twistor staff before being included.
Censorship?
No. As well as operating ethically, Twistor is a fully functioning meta-search engine. This means that we don't restrict searches solely to our own index; if it's out there, you will find it. Twistor sites will always be placed on top of the meta returns and the presence of the logo above will show that we have examined them. To see how this looks, click HERE We make no warranty, either implied or stated, concerning sites not showing our logo or not bearing the legend - 'a Twistor Site'.
Twistor staff make every effort to establish that the submissions within the index conform to our ethical guidelines. Please tell us if you discover a site bearing our logo that you think might fall outside the guidelines.
Enjoy using Twistor and by all means contact us if you have any suggestions as to how we can improve.
